HKSAI exists to advance equitable access to education and healthcare for adolescents and youths living in Kenya’s informal settlements.
We achieve this through community-led capacity building, advocacy and
strategic partnerships that foster lifelong learning, health equity
and sustainable empowerment.

Hope for Kenya Slum Adolescents Initiative (HKSAI) is a grassroots non-profit and humanitarian organization dedicated to advancing equitable access to education and healthcare for adolescents and youths living in Kenya’s informal settlements. We achieve this through community-led capacity building, advocacy, and strategic partnerships that foster lifelong learning, health equity, and sustainable empowerment. We envision a world of resilient and empowered youths, leading independent, dignified, and healthy lives, and we are committed to strengthening our internal capacity and financial stability to scale our impact by 2030.
We provide adolescent youths with education and skills development and facilitate employment and volunteer engagements.
We strengthen local structures and support systems through community building and education programming.
We advocate for policies that empower adolescents in slums to live fulfilled lives through at local, national and international levels.
